Till death do us part!-Marriage!
Here it is folks; the live action photo’s from right here at our house in Kenmore, Washington: The Wedding!
Cousin Kirk and his family came to live with us last year, to try and get re-established. They had lost their house and needed a place to stay while trying to get back on their feet. Kirk has been working with our cousin Terry’s construction company. Son Joshua got his GED and diploma then went and got a job. Elisha is finishing school and Danielle gave birth to a son.
This renewal of vows for them was planned with the thought that this would be a fresh start, a new beginning for their family. Uncle Paul came from Montana to preside over the ceremony as he has clerical and legal status to do so, having been a missionary to Papua New Guinea in the 1960’s and 70’s. I found a website with samples of vow renewal ceremonies to help the couple write their vows.
The ceremony started with Kirk telling how he felt led by the Spirit to marry Wanita when they were on just their first date, and a blind date set up by friends no less! They read their vows and then Uncle Paul read from scripture several verses about marriage and the duties to each other that husband and wife have. They exchanged rings and then came the kiss! It’s all in the photo’s I took.
I had a photo taken for you of myself; before, and after the wedding. No one else had a camera but me, so these and quite a few other photo’s I printed out and saved to disk are my wedding present to the wedded couple. May God bless their union; “What God has brought together, let no man put asunder.”
Amen
