Back in Seattle.

Hello blogosphere, I'm back in Seattle after spending half a year in Boise, ID, visiting my younger brother, Chris. Chris earned an AA in computer electronics over a decade ago and does quite well, he inspired me to study the same, but with CIE, Cleveland Institute of Electronics, an online program once again. After nearly finishing my psychology degree with University of Phoenix and garnering a $6000 debt, I realized I wouldn't ever really do anything with such a degree. I was only studying it for self awareness and didn't think I would want to become a counselor or an overworked, underpaid social worker, so I quit that program and found CIE. Now I find that an AAAS in IT EE is also almost obsolete; most people don't get their computer's repaired anymore, they just throw them out and buy a new one. I'll be finished with CIE by the end of summer and already made plans to return to my former love; Graphic Arts! I've signed up to study Computer Graphics with my previous college, Shoreline CC, near here in Seattle, and earn my AA degree. Then, with an AAAS in hand, my goal is to return to WWU, Western Washington University in Bellingham and have only one quarter left to finish my BS in Graphic Design. I've started doing my NW Coast totemic art again with a second children's book: The Origins of the Orca, and with the story translated and all written, I've got 16 sketches roughed out to be polished and finished. Henry Holt Publisher's has expressed an interest in my Raven Steals the Sun book and I am hoping to land a contract soon. Maybe that 16 page book is too short and so I told them of my second book and my idea that I could do an anthology of mythic stories and legends; maybe do half a dozen stories in one book.
